International Nepali Literary Society (INLS) has instituted a literary award in honor of Satya Mohan Joshi, the century old living legend, expert of culture, and writer of high repute. According to a press note issues by the Society, the award, named “INLS Shatabdi Purush Satyamohan Joshi Puraskar,” is sponsored individually by Prakash Poudel, incumbent Central President of the Society. The award shall comprise of 1001 USD and a citation, and shall be conferred once in two years to a writer of excellence, who has lived outside the territory of Nepal for at least three years, and had made commendable contributions to the development of Nepali language, literature and culture. A panel of three jury members, consisting of experts of various fields.
