- Between Me and the Sky
The face of the sky melts into me
and liquefy the clouds of thoughts
That drain their soul
on beautiful feelings
ethereal dreams
in the words that collide
and move rhythmically towards the lips
starting the flight towards the horizon
to return to the echoes of being
which turns it into a galactic melody
and between me and you
in an instant
eternal spring germinates …

2. Mythical Tranquility
Ice on the head,
crumbles, slowly melts,
dripping water droplets,
waiting for the sun at dawn,
for the circulation of blood in any cell
the song launch of thousands of emotions
worshiping the peace of freedom,
for a celestial flight, for an eternal radiance
love with existence,
for the sun and the illumination
for the renewal of life in mythical tranquility,
with mesmerizing and caressing words
beyond the thought of time, beyond pain,
without fear, without addiction, without domination,
without self-denial, without repression of pain,
with refraction of symbols, metaphors,
for the pleasure of the senses, desires, feelings,
for the sanctification of the human in the divine.
[Marjeta Rrapaj was born on 15.12.1974 in Gjirokastra and grew up in a family with traditions. She is one of the contemporary Albanian poets. Rrapaj studied literature at the University of Gjirokastra and defended the French language at the University of Tirana. She is the author of 8 volumes of poetry. Two poetic volumes published in France in French. One poetic volume published in English and Spanish and the latest volume published in 5 languages: Albanian, English, French, Italian, German. Her poems are a mixture of imagination with reality. In 2019 she received the Alphonso G. Newcomer Poetry Train award U.S.A. and Canada for the poetic volume Vesta.
