Shiva: The Three-eyed Thinking Lord

Must read

Sushant Thapa

Among ashen dreams
And concrete crafted world
A burning heart with volatile heated flame
Rises like a ravaging forest fire.
The third eyed lord thinks with the third eye
Watches the ringing and prayers
Offered to him
With two eyes to see the humanity
One to create
And one to destroy;
To seek the destruction might be like the blue
Abstinence between you and me.
We can create our abstinence
And work on our lives separately
And still be worldly.

[Sushant Thapa is a Nepalese poet who holds a Master’s degree in English Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He is the author of the book “The Poetic Burden and Other Poems” published by Authorspress, New Delhi, India.]
