Injured Dreams

Must read

Deepa Rai Pun

A swarm of dreams
smiles each morning with the juvenile daylight
dispelling the patches of cloud
bequeathing their hollow marks
on each terrace of the field.

The caravans of dreams
seem rejoiced with their hands locked
musing of founding villages green
on slopes, ridges and hills!

With each gush of wind
reality tramples upon dreams
and passes in the dark
leaving behind ghastly footmarks.
Injured dreams still linger
assimilating the clueless realities.

Though a day that follows reality each time
is a journey of no certainty
let our love for dreams
and yet another dream we together cherished
live on, as lovely as ever.
