On Love

Must read

Gopi Sapkota

One day,
The grandson of my sweetheart
Will do his PhD on my poetry
When he will be busy on research on my love poems
He will find –
How I was separated from my beloved
By chance, if my beloved happens to be alive until then
She will come to know
What her grandson is studying!
And the grandson will proudly say:
‘Granny, you know?
I am trying to find out
Who Gopi’s beloved was.’
Then, my hoary beloved
Will enter her room
Take a note out of her old cupboard
And switch off the light
In the lonely hour.
