Virtual Love

Must read

By Prakash Adhikari

You have a countenance
More glittering than the pink rays of the sun!
At the briefest encounter of the eyes with the cleavage
Tremors are sent deep inside the heart.

When you laugh manifesting rows of teeth
That bear a semblance with the snow-capped mountains
The flower smirks
And the moon has a feel of coolness.

The pensive clouds turn golden
At your arrival;
The arid sands turn green.
When that soft voice reverberates
It leaves a storm rocking in the heart
Yet
The lucid incident could not come about!

The world happened to be hinged
In consumption, and in sex!
You, in advocacy of feminism
Turned into a living corpse
Forgetting everything else.
When I saw you standing thus
Voluntarily for a ‘live’ show on the webcam
Your image used as my wallpaper
Appeared like an effigy.
These days
Even your seductive countenance
Seems lacking in its lucid appeal.
