How to Deal with Failure?

Must read

Niket Kumar Nayak

Here is a big secret about failure: the most successful people in the world are the ones who have failed the most number of times and often very badly.

Then how did they become successful?

Success is not about not failing. Successful people simply do the thing repeatedly and again, until they succeed. If you are going to give up at every failure, you really cannot expect to be successful in life.

As they say, success is falling down nine times and getting up ten times.

You are not a failure as long as you get up and get going, look up and keep trying, changing ways and keep improving. You would not want to be like the student who gets his report card, sees his poor scores and thinks he is a failure.  He is not a failure, for God’s sake. He has a result and the result is not very good. That is it.

There is nothing wrong with him; he has got a few things wrong. What is wrong can be corrected and the results can be changed. But the poor kid does not know that. He thinks he is a failure.

When you start thinking of yourself as a failure every time you fail, you will surely end as a real failure someday.

That is sad and that is bad. You know a lot better than that. You know that to fail every failure you encounter will only make you stronger and more determined to achieve your goals.

As example, it is said that Thomas Edison failed more than 10,000 times in his attempts to make the right kind of light bulb. When somebody asked him how he felt about failing so many times, he simply replied,” No, I did not really fail. I just found 10,000 ways how a light bulb isn’t made.” That is a sprit. In conclusion, learn to have the sprit Edison had and surely you will not be a failure in your life.
