Purged

Must read

Prabesh Chapagain

Thrust into ‘becoming’, this existence: a paradox it seems!
Where life and death in two spectrums,
Ever toys with the ‘being’ in question.

Suckling on life’s creamy breasts of abundance sometimes
And sometimes petrified at the notion of death’s morbid paw
Love, experience and memories make a man
Yet, memories are all that remain!

All become old: the young and the free,
The dependent and the solitary!
Their stories a homage to GOD
These stories are no more heard
Purged, purged, and purged

[Prabesh, an MA in English from Tribhuvan University is a Nepali poet.]
