Manprasad Subba
In the season of dusty heat
A pleasant meeting with you
Was a pleasant shower to me
In the scorching sun of drought
The cool shadow of you
Became a cool shade to me
My journey was relentless fatigue
And your soothing companionship
Stood as a soothing resting-shed
A cherished wish solemnly uttered
With an oath in a solitary shrine
Seems to have been fulfilled today
A pent-up feeling long caged
In the heart’s letter is released today
And the sky is filled with it
