Prarambha Budhathoki
Powerful or powerless she is reluctant to spare
Without applying safety measures it is obvious to spread
Social distancing, the only present-time solution
To keep ourselves away from this contagion
With numerous infected and hundred thousands dead
I wonder! By when will COVID-19 fade?
Lockdown worldwide has been decreed
20 seconds’ hand-wash—the action agreed.
Agonies, despair and pandemonium everywhere
Don’t know till when human beings need to bear?
Queer! It is to see the West more injured
Forlorn! It is to witness mankind troubled
Don’t know for how long we have to maintain?
But for now staying home is the only option
One day we will surely rise again
Till then, physical distancing the best adoption.
