The Gorkha Times is an online English literary portal that showcases literary creations, critical writings, and artworks. Though the biggest bulk of writings it features comes from Nepalese writers or writers of Nepalese origin living abroad, it also welcomes writings from other cultural spaces. We publish creative and critical works, researches, special features on distinguished writers and legends, tonics for children, introduction to recently published books, artworks, audio-visual creations, interviews, and e-books. By doing so, we aspire to create a virtual space of Nepalese color, where all curious and critical minds can convene and interact. One of our priorities is to present Nepali classics—both in isolation and in bulk—to ensure the access of international readership to them. They may be works written originally in English by the authors or translated later by professional translators. We also prioritize works from the upcoming generation that is heir to our rich literary tradition.
