Dr. Rajendra Bimal
It was a beautiful scene!
In the morning today
Two red, red roses
had bloomed together;
When the easterly blew,
both of them touched each other
the way my cheek had touched yours.
Yester night, in the piegon’s house
there were both male and female pigeons
their beaks touched each other’s
and a continued cooing on and on.
Lying on the sick bed,
my wife was groaning.
Suddenly, l know not why
my bedroom in the marriage-place
cropped up in my mind.
Rivers flow fast desperately
to meet the ocean
And spring blooms
to shed old leaves in summer.
Meeting and parting go together
Like the sun and the shadow;
Sending an invitation to the sun
the lamp breathes its last.
