Twin Poems by Sushant Kumar B.K.

If I Come Closer to You

She says
tonight, if I come closer to you
While we are in bed
Don’t ask like Sigmund Freud, the psychologist:
“What do women want?”
But rain over me
Play on my body like a fish in the river
And flow like flood everywhere in my blood,
Ignite fire within like a dragon
And then burn me like
A forest fire in love and lust,
Fill your ink in me over and over again
Like a teacher does to its marker,
Consume me totally, totally consume me
Like a drunkard leaves not a drop of alcohol.

****

Between You and Me

Between “Oh” and “No”
Between “Holding” and “Finishing”
Between “Silence” and “Noise”
We were, my darling
I couldn’t forget that very moment
When two bodies:
Over yours mine
And mine over yours
Diving me into you
And you into me
Reaching the heaven’s height
That very first night
