Poet Pokharel Wins International Literary Award

Poet Santosh Kumar Pokharel from Nepal has been awarded highly prestigious international ‘Global Audience Award’ Lifft 2021. He will be in the Live World Anthology. He is one among the 36 Finalists from the world in the Eurasia LIFFT-2021 festival that was held in Istanbul, Turkey from November 11 to 13, 2021. He was broadcasted in their YouTube worldwide. 

Poet Santosh Kumar Pokharel represented Nepal with his poem recitation video in his mother tongue Nepali with English version for Live Anthology. His poem ‘Forgot to Ask Your Heart’ was able to attract Global audience impression.

196 poets and writers from 69 countries of the world took part in the festival. The next event will be held in Egypt. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid Ashraf-Dali from Egypt was declared Laureate Gold medalist.

The works of 90 writers and poets, selected by the jury, will be included in the first volume of the Living Anthology of the World’s Writers.

The awards ceremony, held in Istanbul on November 13, was watched by lovers of poetry and prose in 25 European countries, 21 Asian countries, 15 North, Central and South American countries, 10 African countries, New Zealand, and the Aruba Islands. Barbados, Montserrat, Sao Tome and Principe, and other islands in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans.

Santosh Kumar Pokharel is a globally acclaimed and rewarded writer and a multilingual poet, editor, and translator from Nepal. He writes in four different international languages and has written thousands of poems in Nepali, English, Hindi, and Russian. His poems have been translated into twenty-seven languages of the world so far. Poet Pokharel, a senior civil engineer by profession, completed his master’s in engineering from Russian Friendship University Moscow.

Writer of five books and the founder of International Forum of Literature Group, Poet Pokharel has been awarded title of the World Poet and Translator and he is the Laureate of First Grade Anton Chekhov International Award for Landscape Lyrics. These both awards have been conferred on by Anton Chekhov’s Autumn Festival 2020,Yalta Crimea, Russia

Nepali multilingual poet Santosh Kumar Pokharel is likewise laureate of some other highly prestigious international awards as Mahatma Gandhi International Award for Creative Writing 2018, Nikolai Gogol International Award “The World of the Borderlands” for his contribution to peace through literature from Ukraine for 2021, Poet polyglot Award 2021 from Sevastopol, Crimea and Ambassador for Peace Award from Universal Peace Federation, 2020.

For his contributions to Friendship between peoples and special achievement in the international activities, he has been conferred upon International Commonwealth of People’s Diplomacy Special Award from Kazakhstan, 2021.
