Odorous whirlwind

Must read

Kuma Raj Subedi

Like a splash of water with thunder
Ideas collapse on the lap of cruel
Whirlwind hit wasteland of intolerance.
Corporal punishment upon
Morbidly unconscious them
Deterred revival
Of beautiful tomorrow’s sunshine.
Trodding the path of segregation
Fierce and frightening
Yelling from the crown
Dries up the bloodstream of the forlorn.
Peeping through the veil of darkness
Gigantic false aspirations
Tear apart the rays of dreams
In the monolithic fetid valley of dreary desert.
Fumigation of deferred and fusty dreams
Tear-wet swollen mosaic carpet tombs-
Corrode epitaphs like a rust on iron
With more gunshots, curfews and nooses.
Do the dried dreams speak?
Or just reek like a rotten corpse?
Perhaps resurrect in volcanic passion

Of freedom, fidelity and fearlessness in horizon.

Mr. Subedi is MTESOL from Flinders University South Australia. His numerous creations have been published in both print and online media. He is a lecturer at Tafe SA and writes often on the themes is human nature, female oppression, love, nature , religion and politics.
