I know
how I can grow into a flower
I know my history
I even know my future
I know the value my attraction can buy at present
Everything helps me
Soil and the minerals in it
air, water and the sunlight too
I know
Every season becomes lively
only due to my presence
I also know
With the passage of time
the roots decay
the shoots and the leaves go dry
I decay as a whole
Before I complete my cycle
I implant every bit of life in the seeds
In the ages to come
I shall keep my legacy intact
as a selfless flower.
