Beyond Lamentations

Shyam Gaire

Namaskar Doctor, I said
He responded with respect.
When a squirrel and a pigeon were playing
Visitor of Room no.264 came
Hosted by guard with that term.

The patient was taken upward on a lift
But not by parallel shift

At the time of writing, a helicopter comes
People stand with their cameras in form
This happens at the middle of the day
How can I help you? The doctor says.

The helipad is always open;
But the plane of humanity can’t land.
I was searching inside
For relative with feelings to remove their dark.

“Remove your dirty clothes,”
Washer-man suggests, asking to behave.
Are you a judge or a layman said the gardener;
Don’t forget to honor martyrs, hospital and doctor.
