Three Poems by Aarav Dhital

Pain

When you feel pain
Like no other
You want to erase that pain
You want to bottle it
Cause you can’t humanly
Stand it anymore
So people cause more pain to themselves
For that one second of overmatched
Sense of numbness
That one millisecond of euphoria
For that one microsecond of no worry
For no earthly bound to hold you down
You know that it’s wrong but you can’t stand it
That your heart can’t stand
That if the slightest of pain will turn
Your heart into shreds
And so you do it and then
There is a moment of silence
And then it ends…

False Identity

As the places burn
I stand beside
With your palms sweating
And our hearts racing against time

While the places burn
We put on our greatest suits and stand
We slide on our shades
And open the fiery doors
As if we are going to the hell
We are going together in style
We walk down the neighborhood street
Burning to ash the devil himself walks with us
As the skies turn into red
And there is a waiting in the fiery pits of hell

***
Burn

As our eyes burn
And the colors fade
We ride into the sunset
With the cash raining
And our tears dripping
With a grin from ear to ear
Passing the road
Like bird without a cage
Free till the edge of the world
No clue where we going
Bewildered in the modern jungle
Like the last night of my life
With no earthly care
Or attachment for us
Like feelings raining a waterfall
And our eyes blend the colors…
