Poetic Value

Sushant Thapa

When a poet is all alone and
Beauty he has saved.
When what he wants to speak
Is all written
He sees a well in himself
Describing that well
Would be like emptying oneself and
Filling with the water of gushing feelings.
He is complete in thoughts
When puzzles fit to form a complete picture
Creation and acceptance
Make him a man
When all the heads are burning
A poet has a fire in his heart
When all the rivers are drowning
A poet swims in the wave.
One morning when the sun melts the dew
A poet again gives birth to thousand
Droplets of vigor.
The night says the poet should rest his pen
The time says he should arrest his words.
The street is lightless without the lamp of the poet
Even in daytime, people burn in their plight of the night.
They are always chasing someone’s talent
Haunting down the intellect.
