Manoj Neupane
For years we trusted you
For years we’ re bilked
“You” can’t be “We” and
“We” can’t be “You”.
The time has taught us,
What are promises?
You over- stepped our dreams
The bay between us is swollen.
We are animals and we aren’t ,
We have senses and you don’t ,
We do what we promise to do
perhaps “You” were we.
