INS Spain Committee Formed

The International Nepali Society, formed with the objective of working for the benefit and development of Nepal and Nepalis by organizing Nepalis at home and abroad, has formed a national executive committee of Spain under the leadership of Tulsi Ram Ghimire, a social worker and loyal person living in Spain for the past 12 years.

TaraNathDallakoti has been nominated as the senior vice-chairman of the committee and ChandaKumariKhadkaDhakal and Binod Prasad Gautam as the vice-chairpersons. Similarly, Prabhakar KC ‘Darpan’ has been selected as the general secretary, Ravi Pudasaini, SubhadraKhadkaBista as the secretaries and Sunil Thapa as the joint secretary.

The committee has nominated MahantMaharjan as treasurer, Suraj Kumar Neupane as co-treasurer and ShekharShrestha as spokesperson while Padam Raj Pathak ‘Raj Pahadi’, Santosh Raj Bista, IshwarAdhikari, Shiva Upadhyay, Sabin Bania, SujataBasnet, IshaKhaniya and Suresh Lama have been nominated as members. Similarly, the newly formed executive committee has honouredBishnuRijal, SantaBahadurChhetri and PeshalKoirala as advisors.

Speaking on the occasion, ArjunGhimire, Central Chairman of the society, explained the objectives and justifications of the society and said that the organization was established to work for the welfare and development of Nepalis all over the world. Similarly, the chairperson of the women’s committee of the society, Dr. RenukaSolu said that we should contribute from wherever we are for the interest and development of Nepal and Nepalis and expressed happiness that the society has taken the right path. Expressing his best wishes at the program, Mahesh Poudel, Literary Writer and Advisor to the Society, stressed that the expected success would be achieved only if the leadership in every field becomes a role model and said that he is confident that the youth of every section of the newly formed society will truly contribute to the welfare and development of Nepali society.

On the occasion, BikasKarki, a member of the International Coordinating Council of the Non-Resident Nepali Association from Austria, expressed happiness over the society’s campaign to connect Nepalis around the world and wished them success. Senior Vice President Shyam Subedi, Vice Presidents Neetu Khatiwada and Ishwar Rai from various countries, General Secretary Arjun Shree, Secretary Supriya Ghimire, Members Diksha Bhandari ‘Janu’ and Durga Rai, Senior Vice President of Women’s Committee Urmila Nirdoshi, General Secretary Subhadra Bhandari and other distinguished persons participated in the program. Expressing good wishes, they stressed on the need to work for the benefit and development of Nepal and Nepalis by uniting Nepali youths from all over the world. Speaking on the occasion, newly formed committee chairperson Tulsi Ram Ghimire, senior vice chairperson Tara Nath Dallakoti, vice chairpersons Chanda Kumari Khadka and Binod Prasad Gautam expressed their commitment to work for the welfare and development of Nepal and Nepalis.
