Ghosts in the Bamboo, a new novel by Great Rana has been made public Wednesday.
In the program organized at Hotel Shaligram in Lalitpur, Dr. Hemang Dixit, Dr. Madhu Ghimire and author Rana jointly released the book.
Speaking on the occasion, writer and translator Saguna Shah said the novel was readable as the main character Elinor Kittivane describes life of the people in the fictional city of Lapalistan. She added, the fiction has been woven in the style of an original story. “Linguistic experimentation and the author’s satirical humor are still a strong grip of the book,” Shah said.
Journalist Chirag Bangdel also spoke about the author.
Dr. Hemang Dixit and Dr. Madhu Ghimire narrated the author’s memoirs of the struggle.
Speaking at the launch, author Greta Rana expressed her gratitude to the publisher, editor and reader of the novel and said she expects the readers to love her novel as they had loved her previous works.
The book has been published by BookHill. It is available Ton Amazon.com, Thupra.com, KitabYatra.com and Book Hill’s e-platforms, while the paperback version can be purchased from bookstores across Nepal.
