Haste

Must read

Bhisma Upreti

Air hastens in blowing
Water in flowing
The youths in picking a dream
And yet, to cherish another of such dreams.
Change hastens away to transform itself
People here hurry to be born,
And there to pass away.

Amid all this hustle,
I have kept hopes on sale in a small shop
On roadside
And am sitting upon time
Strewn like a sack on the ground.

Sitting silently beside a shop
That has no customer to visit,
I languish in leisure,
Beholding the rush of hastiness!
