Rupsingh Bhandari
The blurred map
In her face
The entangled lines over lines are
Hiding the geography of pain
And the history of struggles…
An age is forcefully evaporating
like a ventilator from her mouth.
The empty elongated earlobes are defining economy,
The uncombed white hair
Are silently whispering her endurances,
The deep eyes are
Frozen like tears’ Snow Lakes
Stashing her untold stories.
But
For her own decedents,
Who made her ugly in the name of beauty
The mother nation is still selflessly
Flashing back her smile.
