O Moon!
Into your moonlight square
I wish I could sail,
Soar and shift my home,
Every morn,
To you gods’ grandeurs
I wish I too could burn incense and offer my prayers
And the horizons of life your eyes have ahead
The silent steps your divine dreams breathe
I wish I could feel with you and tread those secret sands!
In your endless skies and in this dense forests,
I wish I could see what the stars have engraved for you
And paint my dreams and rainbows of life
O Moon!
With you, yes with you!
From your endless skies to this ancient mountain and antique ocean
I wish I could flap my wings—with sorrows and bliss
-with loves and kisses
-with agonies of anguish and soulful hopes
–with laughter of life and tears of tokens
With you, only with you
I wish I could weave the moonlit songs with beauties of bliss
And play my flute with the shadows of sorrows
I wish I could quench a handful of thirst the life has for us
And rest in the grave for eternal peace where the skies end!
