The Hidden Face

Must read

Shashi Sharma

It was night and dark
One could see nothing from afar
I came nearer
With actual fear
And a little hope
Hope became hope.

Her face was hidden
By a headscarf
I could see her attractive eyes;
She didn’t throw her scarf from the face
Until she went from the place
I followed her up to her home’s gate
And noted her address and her eyes
Next day, I found her in front of my house gate
But she had worn that again;
She left as soon as I came.

Now, I am not finding those that eyes
I am searching for it for a year
Due to the mask and that scarf
I am not founding her
I am afraid I have lost her
COVID turned for me a demon.
