Abhisarika

Rajendra Khanal Kshitiz

Come, my Abhisarika
As comes Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina
With bundles of beauty and melody.
These hands are impatient to strip you naked
Disrupting the stillness of the night
In a garden, laden with beautiful flowers.

Come, my Abhisarika,
Like BP Koirala’s Sumnima
With a naked body, tearing the curtains of all factuality.
These hands seek to break all glass-houses
Gathering them in your naked bosoms
Inside the depth of the celestial taste of ambrosia.

Come, my Abhisarika,
The nerves in each of my parts are accursed
And as you come, bring as gift
Endeared memory of lucidity and beauty
As Anna Karenina and Sumnima did
Bringing along slender and stiff bodies!
