Value Education

Dhiraj  Kshetri

My wife
once in a meditative mood
asked me:
‘What have we done for all these years, Dhiraj?
Our cohorts are multi-millionaire.’
I had no word to respond to my wife,
my life partner.

The other day my Mom said:
‘Your achievements are great;
you are a blessed son
you can afford anything you need
you are a dauntless character;
I just smiled
saying nothing to my mom
who gave me life.

I remember
Long back my dad had said
‘I find no grief on your face;
you are a solvent son.’

Since then I educated myself
how to be happy
and know the value,
not the price.
