Mahesh Acharya
I don’t know
Which day and which night
Shall be the last ones in life
Our meetings can become the ultimate ones
Even as we wrangle, claiming this one is mine.
Some tales are those of tears, while others are of smiles
We betrayed a few, though with no conscious motif
We don’t know
Which laughter and which teardrop
Shall be the last ones in life
Which complaint I lodged, taking you as my own
Shall be the ultimate one
Let’s keep our smiles and talks on, in this ephemeral life
All that we can leave behind is fame; we know not what comes tomorrow
We don’t know
Which love, or which shade shall be the last ones
Or if that moment we talked with peers
Shall be the ultimate!
