Three Beads

Narayan Poudel

Darkness

It was you who had shut the eyes
How come I got my feet bumped
Against obstacles?

My co-traveler!
Keep your eyes open;
What worth are our eyes
If we are to transfix at the same spot?

Rise

When you transform into the moon
Sunlight shall fall on your bosoms on its own

Do not hide yourself
In the shadow of the earth
Instead, paste it on your bosom with love
And exhibit your existence to the world.

Feet Epiphany

I was moving along the road
Making the Buddha my crutches

The Buddha, on his part
Was walking on his own feet.
