The parents objected,
And society cursed their love.
Issue was the same: racial, material.
But O Hatred! Protest!
What magical power thou possess!
Love intensified even more;
And the lovers got married soon.
Then dwindled the grudges,
As the protestors favored the bond.
Hatred! Resistance! Rebellion!
If only your occult, performed so well in love,
Did the same in politics.
Thou incite the politicians
To unite their parties.
But why do they, unlike lovers,
Plot to divide soon?
