From a Different Camp

Must read

Chhabi Raman Silwal

He too is a person,
like others, he has a heart too
a brain
and perhaps
a beautiful mind as well
He has everything
a normal individual is expected to have!
The only thing he doesn’t have
is conscience!

In spite of having everything
if a person has no conscience,
or has lost it,
what worth is a thing he still retains?

Yet, it’s after such a man devoid of conscience
that some conscientious people are running!
It’s true
he was a human long back
but presently, he has been sidelined
away from the camp of humans;
Transgressing the boundaries of his positions
he denigrates every other human

He, upon whom we offer
pure flower garlands, as though he were our god
and are raising slogans in his glory,
has become our leader
at the moment
and we, his faithful henchmen.
