My Mother

Aayush Badal

In spite of facing several hardships in life
My mother is the godly divine being
Who made me step into this world
Yes, my mother satisfied my hunger with tasty edibles, cutting off her own share of food.

My mother is the kind lady who covered my bare body
With a pair of clothes, when she herself remained ill-clothed
My mother is a comical actor, who shades smile on my face
While she herself hides tears behind those smiles

My mother is a teacher who teaches what sorrow and joy are
My mother is a teacher who teaches chapters of struggle
She is a lady with good morale who teaches one should not be selfish
Her lessons are filled with compassion and helping attitude for humanity and the needy

My mother is a brave woman who can turn sorrow into happiness
Yes, it is my mother who loves me more than anyone in the world
I cannot write in words what my mother is to me
I cannot utter in words what my mother is to me

I only want to say: Always respect your mother
Do not try to send her to the old-age home
We exist due to our mothers and their motherhood,
Everybody should understand this.
