The Rhymes of Strength

Suresh Rai

When your good old chums don’t work
When you get a wind of foes that lurk
Forge a formidable new alliance
Purchase a new revolver for reliance

When dark wild horses kick you on the face
When you’re crushed in a crazy long race
You must resolutely shoot them; kick them back
Stay resilient, not changing your precious track

Life’s ecstasies appear and disappear
Generate your own doctrines to adhere
The seasons joyfully ride a Ferris Wheel
And triumphant is what you must feel

You can’t invariably have an upper hand
Get ready to end up in a palace, or in the sand
Maintain equipoise when you surrender or vanquish
Don’t flinch for a noble cause when you must languish

All the stars are yours, even the God’s shadow
If you’re righteous, but not a desperado
Act generous and, if need be, exploiter
As the world is undoubtedly your oyster

Slash your mental monster and phantom
Don’t rush sans any plans at random
The treasures galore, the powers galore
Grab all the powers that all and sundry will adore
