Itz Stephen Arinzechukwu
Like a diamond
She shines in my eyes
My heart beats for her
Wanting to see her daily
It moves me to emotion, thinking
I think she is the one I crave for!
So do I even care?
Who knows if love exists?
I believe it doesn’t
What of you?
Seeing her makes my daily childish thoughts fade
I am really in love with that baby girl
She really sings in my heart daily.
Be the smile that I behold
While looking sternly on my pen and paper
You are the one I write about.
Sweetheart, love is something I cannot forget
Your sight gives me the boldness to be called a man
Now I will never forget that song of love you brought,
Indeed your my ink, my world and my thought.
I love you!
[Itz Stephen Arinzechukwu, a young Nigerian poet from Enugu, unfortunately passed away recently. Reportedly, he was struck by a thunderbolt. He had great passion for poetry. His poems are soft, filled with human sympathy and love. The Gorkha Times deeply condoles his death, and shares its deep sympathy with Itz’s family.]
