Inner Voices

 Lenem

 Suddenly the night is getting cold and dark,
The stars are twinkling with a spark,
I recall memories when I used to be a lark;
Now just stranded, making noises for you to hark.

The wheel of time keeps moving continuously;
In great pace, we spent so much of time sinuously,
Some moments were lovely, others we spent hideously;
Now we parted and I’m bound to stalk you anonymously.

Weren’t those feelings real? How’d you stopped?
Am I easy to forget, or maybe you never loved?
I never wanted to go; you were the one who shoved;
Now it all makes sense, ’cause you’d got others to love.

Eyes got drenched; now they can’t even cry,
Heart that used to love is now all but dry;
Just ruminating on you by watching the sky,
Saying, “You can’t win everything, but you can try.”
