Noted poet Subash Khanal has come up with his second anthology of poems, Sapanaka Awayawa. Khanal’s parents Gokarna Khanal and Sushila Khanal launched the anthology on Wednesday in a virtual event, organized by Sarjak Sanjal, a network of writers in Makuwanpur.
Speaking on the occasion, senior poet Shyamal underscored the critical stance Subash’s poems take in regards with the regressive tendency of the society. Two other reviewers, Ghanashyam Ghimire and Uday Adhikari highlighted the temporal awareness in Khanal’s poetry, and lauded the sense of critical observation in his verses.
The book has been published by Shabdik Books. Before this, Khanal’s first anthology Bicharko Ulto Nadi had been published in the year 2014.
