Drowned

Anu Panta

If he had floated in the warmth of her heart
they would not have separated.

Unfortunately, he drowned in the ardor
of her corpse, soaked his desires,
and wiped out his feelings.

Eventually, he grieved divine death;
she embraced hellish life.

[Anu is an MA in English from Tribhuvan University. She writes poems, and loves to partake in literary events.]
